Debra Campbell, CHBME
President and CEO

Debbie joined MBO in 1986 serving Clerical, Supervisory, Management and Executive positions before settling in as the current President/CEO and Co-Owner.

While attending NCCC in Niagara Falls, NY, Debbie first entered into the world of Healthcare Administration in 1980. Her years of experience has made her fluent in all aspects of the healthcare billing industry, but especially passionate about the destruction of the economic rewards and incentives insurance carriers experience when complicating the billing process for the provider community.

Likewise, Debbie’s vision is to lead MBO in a direction that best enhances her clients’ offices by offering a broad range of specialty services, including EHR, Front and Back Office Process Engineering, IT, Insurance and Patient Liaison, Accounts Payables and improved profit margins for every client provider.

Debbie and her husband Don, have 1 daughter Dakota, and a grandson, Max, along with several family pets. In their private time together they are in pursuit of that one rare hand-made vintage marble to add to their huge existing collection. In addition, they enjoy off-roading, antiquing, traveling and extended family gatherings.

Kevin R. Wohletz
Vice President, IT

Kevin began working with Medical Business Office in 1993 serving as Office Manager. His emphasis in Business and Technology at MSU gave him the knowledge and desire to lead MBO into the electronic age. The technical advances and government requirements imposed on the healthcare industry is what earned Kevin his successful record of transitioning MBO’s clients into a comprehensive electronic conversion.

Since that time, Kevin continues to dedicate his skill to the electronic advancements of billing. Attending an intensive training program at AdvancedMD earned him his certication in Electronic Health Records. This certification allows Kevin to further meet the needs of our clients by customizing and integrating their EHR, Appointment Scheduling and Patient Billing Data within our cloud based system.

On a personal note, Kevin is a dedicated husband and father. He and his wife, Denise, are actively involved in the extra curricular activities of their five children. Together, as a family, they enjoy boating, water sports, camping and fishing.

Linda Wohletz
Retired Founder and Co-Owner

Linda, along with her late husband, Dick Wohletz, founded MBO in 1985. Prior to the inception of MBO, Linda owned and operated Office Control Systems where she sold Peg Board Billing Supplies, specialized Filing Systems and provided micro-film billing to medical providers state-wide.

Linda recalls how Medical Billing was so different in 1985 when compared to current times. Insurance claim forms were either handwritten, typed or (if you were a client of MBO) computer generated and printed. Your staff hand folded and stuffed the claims in window envelopes prior to mailing to each carrier. With the exception of Medicare and Medicaid, insurance claims were filed for all patients not out of contractual obligation, but as a courtesy to the patient. Even when you filed a claim as a courtesy, you simultaneously billed the patient. Typically, patients had a yearly deductible to meet (generally $250/year). Once the patient met their deductible, the insurance company would pay 80% and the patient would pay 20%. With the exception of Medicare and Medicaid, there were no carrier fee schedules, insurance networks or office visit co-pays. All Insurance Companies played the same payment stall tactics, but we knew what they were and how to beat them. Insurances profited by payment delays because, like today, many in-house billing departments never had the time, manpower or expertise to follow-up on denied or delayed claims.

Sadly, after a long illness, Linda lost her husband, mentor and business partner in 2001. Since retirement, Linda is very active with her church activities and enjoys traveling, but her most prized role is being grandmother to her 2 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
